Founders’ Memorial
Singapore
Slated to open in 2027, the Founders’ Memorial will honor the values of Singapore’s late Founding Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew, together with the first generation of leaders who shaped the nation’s independence.
Envisioned as a values-driven institution at Bay East Garden, the project integrates galleries and landscape into a reflective, participatory environment.
The design is structured around the idea of a path—a spatial journey tracing the legacy of Singapore’s founders. Conceived as a living memorial, it unfolds as a garden where architecture dissolves into nature: a central spine generates gentle slopes, open gathering spaces, and views toward the evolving skyline.
I contributed to the project as part of the design team while working at Kengo Kuma and Associates.
