Nero is conceived as a composition of distinct elements that merge into a single, harmonious object. Each component can be removed, allowing the piece to shift between unity and fragmentation, and offering a flexible, evolving use.
The contrast between glossy and matte finishes accentuates the reading of individual volumes, revealing the object’s layered construction. Through the precise juxtaposition of geometries, each element engages with the others while maintaining its own autonomy, expressing both cohesion and adaptability.
Designed as a versatile container, Nero can hold a variety of objects—from potpourri to everyday items—and also serve as a water vessel. In this latter condition, the liquid introduces an additional reflective layer: extra-shiny, cool, and smooth, transforming the perception of the object and amplifying its material presence.
